The Camaro is one of the four free starter vehicles in Jailbreak that can be used by any player, with the other three being the Jeep, Cruiser, and Helicopter. The Camaro has been in Jailbreak since its release.
The Camaro's major advantage is its usefulness, as the vehicle spawns in many major locations, such as the Prison, both Criminal Bases, Police Stations, and many heists, making it have the most spawn points out of any vehicle.
Performance
The Camaro is a mid-low-tier vehicle in terms of performance, being slower than most other vehicles, but is still faster than a selected few. Despite its low speed, the vehicle is still practical due to its solid driving capabilities and easy access for any player, as well as being free.
Its off-roading capability is comparable to some general vehicles. The handling is extremely good, making the car quite reliable for transportation. Easy to use and easy to find, the Camaro is a fitting car for beginners.
However, the Jeep is a more versatile vehicle to use for newer players than the Camaro, as it has better overall performance and seats two more players, while also being free. As players without the Premium Garage Gamepass can spawn the Jeep anywhere, it is recommended to use it over the Camaro whenever possible.
Overall, the Camaro is a decent starter vehicle as it has average performance, and can be found practically everywhere on the map, making it a good escape vehicle as well.

| After its buff in October 2023, the Camaro has a top speed of 141 MPH, beating out quite a few of the lower-tier vehicles such as the Pickup, Jeep and Camper. Trivia
- A Camaro image was made into a custom Discord emoji (dubbed "Bruhcar"
), which later became quite famous in the official Jailbreak Discord community.
- Originally created by DiscordResistance, one of the three bureaucrats of the Jailbreak Wiki for use in the Jailbreak Wiki Discord, it was later named "Bruhcar" by CosmicKai227, an ex-moderator of the wiki. Afterwards, it was spread to several other Discord servers in the Jailbreak community. Eventually, on February 17th, 2020, asimo3089 added the bruhcar emoji to the official Jailbreak Discord.
- The car is based on the fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro.
- However, it’s headlights are inaccurate.
- As well, it’s real life counterpart is much faster than in game.
- The Camaros that spawn at Police Stations used to always spawn in a specific color (blue), like the SUV, SWAT Van, UFO, the Black Hawk, and the Helicopter.
- The Camaro has the most spawn locations of any vehicle in the game, six as of now.
- Prior the Supercar Update, a Camaro used to spawn near the Rising City Bank. Its spawn was later replaced by the La Matador, which was added in the update.

- As of the Ocean/3 Years Live Update, the Camaro no longer spawns in the Criminal Lair. Its spawn was later replaced by a La Matador.
- The Camaro also used to have a second spawn at the Volcano Criminal Base, but were removed to make room for the collectors for the Museum, Passenger Train, and Power Plant heists, the Celestial, and the BOSS wall.
- A Camaro used to spawn at the Power Plant. As of the Power Plant Revamp Update, the spawn was replaced by the Challenger, which was then replaced by the Delorean.
- When the Map Expansion Update was first released, a Camaro spawn was placed on the side of the road near the Factory (the placeholder building for the Power Plant). This spawn was later moved to a parking space next to the Power Plant in the Jet Ski & Power Plant Robbery Update.
- As of the 2020 Winter Update, the Camaro no longer spawns outside the Bounty Bay Airport.
- As of the Tomb Update in June 2021, the Camaro spawn at the Fire Station was removed, alongside the building that housed its spawn.
- Before an update, there used to be two Camaro spawns in the Prison parking lot, but one was removed.
- As of the May 2021 Update, the Camaro spawning at all Police Stations must be hijacked to be driven by criminals.
- The Camaro in front of the punch box parkour escape is the only exception to this.
- In the update of Season 5: Let The Memes Begin!, the Camaro's default license plate was changed from "ABC DEF" to "BRUH", referencing its nickname.
- There used to be a Police Camaro, a version of the Camaro that is believed to have been a bit faster than the normal Camaro. It spawned in the parking lot of the Prison, however it was removed in the 2017 Winter Update.
- An unusable Camaro can be found in the back of the Semi.
- As of the 2023 Prison Update, the Camaro no longer spawns in front of the Prison and behind the now-destroyed Police HQ.
- Instead, it now spawns in front of the Prison Police Station and in the Prison parking lot, along with the already-existing spawn points.
- In a previous update asimo3089 stated that the Camaro's price would be made to 500 in order to give newer players an understanding that you needed cash to buy cars. However this was never added.
